Great Jazz Music at the 51st OneAmerica Broad Ripple Art Fair

An Amazing Curated Lineup of Local Talent

The Indianapolis Jazz Foundation and Indy Jazz Fest partnered with the Indianapolis Art Center to present an entertaining lineup of music at the 51st Annual One America Broad Ripple Art Fair. Through this event, the IJF fulfills part of its mission by reaching out to a community excited about the future of quality jazz music.

Curating a variety of live jazz performances all weekend improved the cultural landscape of the event.

The theme of the OneAmerica Broad Ripple Art Fair this year was “Better Together” and the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation agrees that when arts organizations collaborate, an even bigger community impact can be made.

Connecting artists and audiences through great local jazz performances is part of what our team does best!

A Preview Party to Remember

The preview party on Friday, May 19th kicked off on the terrace at the Indianapolis Art Center with Pavel & Direct Contact. However, when some thunderstorms started rolling through, the fun was moved to the covered patio. The storms passed and the One America Broad Ripple Art Fair celebrations continued! Despite the weather inconvenience, everyone had a great time. Pavel’s high energy really got the event off to a great start and The Indianapolis Jazz Collective set the right vibe for the evening. The preview to this exciting Summer event was supported by art lovers in the community who worked together to set it up for success.

Celebrating the Indy Arts & Music Community

The OneAmerica Broad Ripple Art Fair was held on Saturday, May 20th, and Sunday, May 21st. The weather these two days was perfect for an outdoor art fair. The temperature was comfortable and there was plenty of sunshine too!

Friends and families who attended supported the arts by browsing and shopping creations by 150 local, regional, and national artists. There were hands-on activities for all ages and plenty of local food and drink. Plus the music curated by Indy Jazz Fest played on the main stage throughout both days. Guests came to listen while sitting to have a meal, relaxing in the grass, or dancing in the open field. DJ Rusty Redenbacher kept the beats going between sets and added to the fun energy of the event.

Attendees enjoyed two days of music with this local jazz lineup!

Did You Visit the Indy Jazz Foundation Table?

All were welcome to stop by and visit the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation table and those who did could learn more about local jazz. There were also some swag items available for purchase including a cooler tote bag, drink tumblers, hats, and shirts. There were some free items being given away including Wes at 100 buttons and a CD full of great local jazz compositions inspired by artwork. And, with Indy Jazz Fest coming up in September (watch for a lineup announcement coming soon) folks could also add their name to a drawing for free tickets!
