From The 317 Recording Sessions

From The 317 is working on some exciting recordings that you won’t want to miss. The project, led by IJF Artistic Director Rob Dixon, combines a core band with several featured artists. These local and regional jazz musicians are some of the best in the Midwest and have been collaborating in the studio. They had a recording session over the weekend of March 18-19 and continue to work on some upcoming releases.

From The 317 recorded a new album featuring Indianapolis native and Las Vegas-based vocalist Amanda King.

From the 317 is an Ambassador band for Indianapolis comprised of some of the Best musicians on the Indianapolis Music scene. From the 317 genre bends and blends but always has jazz at the core of the band’s focus.

Artistic Director Rob Dixon is a visionary leader who created this project to preserve today’s work as tomorrow’s legacy. From The 317 advances local artists through the creation and recording of new works

Upcoming Concert at Caffè Vivace

In addition to their recent recording sessions and upcoming album release, From The 317 is preparing for an upcoming performance at Caffè Vivace in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Caffè Vivace is a coffee house by day and a jazz lounge by night. There will be two sets performed and each set is sold separatelyThe Indianapolis Jazz Foundation is pleased to support this important performance project and share Indianapolis jazz at a regional jazz club.
